Plastic Logic and AT&T Partner Up

AT&T and Plastic Logic will join up to take on Amazon

Plastic Logic has already partnered with Barnes & Noble to be the exclusive seller of its Plastic Logic Electronic Book Reader and now it has joined forces with AT&T to provide the wireless service for its electronic reader. The wireless capability will be built on GSM wireless technology, which means it will be able to work over-seas.

The Plastic Logic Reader is set to go on sale some time in the beginning of 2010. Besides the Sony stable of electronic readers, the Plastic Logic Reader is believed to be one of the few who could actually challenge the dominance of the Amazon Kindle.

I suppose we'll just have to wait and see.

The Plastic Logic e-Reader

Plastic Logic ReaderThis is one of the newer generation e-readers. It hasn't been officially released yet, but will be very soon.

The Plastic Logic Electronic Reader has made an appearance at several  trade shows and during 2009 / 2010 Plastic Logic plans to increase their sales of the product.

As far as E-Readers  go, it seems pretty nice!

One of the most distinguishing factors is its display size (the size of 8.5 x 11-inch paper). The Plastic Logic reader features a big readable display! Much bigger than the Sony, the Kindle and the BeBook. Yet it's thinner than a pad of paper, lighter than many business periodicals, and offers a high-quality reading experience - better than alternatives of paper or other electronic readers on the market today.

The Plastic Logic reader supports a full range of business document formats, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint, and Adobe PDFs, as well as newspapers, periodicals and books.
