Amazon announced November was Best Month Ever for Kindle Electronic Reader Sales!
Recently, Amazon announced that its Kindle Electronic Book Reader did its best sales ever in November. Amazon has never released the actual numbers (which it keeps closely guarded) of units sold or revenue but it did say that the Kindle electronic reader was the best seller across ALL of its product categories.
Amazon may not have released its stats, but I can see stats from Electronic-Reader.com and I can say that the Kindle gets far more attention than any of the other electronic readers I have reviewed.
There may be a few reasons for this. With the holiday shopping season upon us many people are looking to gift one of the most talked about products for the season, an electronic book reader. Not theoretically there are a lot of options available...the Amazon Kindle, Kindle Global, Kindle DX, Sony Pocket Edition, Sony Touch Edition and the B & N Nook, just to name a few of the bigger names.
However, Barnes and Noble recently announced that its Nook electronic reader was "out of stock" and any that had sold in the pre-sale wouldn't start being delivered until January 4, 2010. Similarly, Sony had planned to release its large screen, touch screen, Sony Daily Edition in early December, but has since said it may not be out until the New Year.
Amazon has been doing a great job of supplying the demand. Get'em while they're hot!
The Amazon Kindle International model is going for $259.00 and Kindle Books start at $9.99.
Happy Holidays!!!
