Amazon Kindle DX goes Global!

The Kindle DX Joins the Kindle Global Electronic Reader on the International Market

Following the HUGE success of the Kindle Global Wireless electronic reader, Amazon has released a new version of its large screen electronic reader with Global Wireless capability. The Amazon Kindle DX is now available in over 100 countries.

Why choose the Kindle DX Global over the original Kindle electronic book reader?

Here are just a few of the features offered on the Kindle DX:

• Beautiful Large 9.7" e-Ink Display
• Slim as most magazines
• Wireless Delivery
• 3G Wireless Coverage
• Global Coverage
• Up to 3,500 Book, Magazine and Document Library
• Battery Life up to 1 week
• Built-In PDF Reader
• Auto-Rotating Screen
• Read-to-Me text-to-speech feature
• First Chapter Book Samples for free before you decide to buy
• Over 400,000 books, U.S. and international newspapers, magazines, and blogs

By far the most impressive feature of this product is its 9.7" e-Ink display. Now, I have heard people question the quality of read they might get from such a large screen, however, I think after using the Kindle DX they would be pleasantly surprised at how crisp a page actually looks.

Besides the use of e-Ink, a revolutionary technology, Amazon has designed the screen for usability. Unlike other electronic readers on the market; such as the Sony Reader Daily, Sony Reader Touch or the Nook - all with smaller screens by-the-way, Amazon has decided not to use a touch screen or a layer of gloss. This means that you get both a sharp display of images and photos (in black and white...for now) but also, you can read in sunlight with no glare.

Let have a look at what some of the other Kindle DX users had to say about Kindles screen:

Image of the Amazon Kindle DX Global Screen"My first impression of Kindle's screen was: 'That's a screen?! It doesn't look like a screen.' When I got my own, I had the same impression again. It looks like a book page, only perfect. No grain or pulp."-Jeremy

"I love how the screen really looks like a page, because I do work at a computer all day, and the last thing I want to look at is another screen."-Amy P.

"I use my Kindle for reading in bed and sitting at my desk. I also did a test read while sitting in full sun and the screen is even more readable."-Dallas M.

I agree with these users, THE most important factor for me, in choosing to begin reading electronic books was the screen quality factor. I wanted to be able to read anywhere, in any conditions and not feel like I was at work staring at my monitor. I think Amazon has nailed it on this one.
